Each year we need to remind coaches, players, and parents that they should refrain from throwing, hitting, bunting, or pitching towards ANY fences during practices and game warm-ups. Yes, a ball will hit a fence from time-to-time, but throw after throw and hit after hit, on purpose, into a fence will destroy the fence and will be costly to repair or replace it. During batting practice, put your catchers behind the plate in full gear and give them some more practice.
During hitting game warm-ups use wiffle balls. Less time for players to shag, less likely for injuries, less likely to break windshields or dent cars, much better on the fences, lighter bucket to carry....
Coaches, Players, and Parents - if you see someone abusing our property(fences) kindly tell them to stop. If they do not, then tell a coach, Division rep, or board member. The more we can keep our maintenances costs down the lower we can keep our registration fees.
